Success coaching

Success Coaches are available to help you! You can schedule an appointment online.  You can email your coach with questions, too!  Coaches will outreach to their students throughout the semester to schedule appointments through campaigns, but students are always welcome to email or call if they need help!

Please connect with us on Instagram as well @xustudentsuccess.

What is success coaching?

Success Coaching is the process of supporting Musketeers. We can lend a hand during every step of your college experience, while you develop the potential within yourself to succeed.

True to our Jesuit-inspired approach of caring for the whole person, body, mind, and spirit--our proactive approach to success coaching provides holistic support and builds meaningful relationships between students and university faculty and staff.

It's a relationship that begins before you arrive.  That means we'll reach out to you! Every first-year Musketeer receives a letter about their Success Team and how coaches are at the ready to lend support from day one!

How is Success coaching relevant?

Students come to college with varying degrees of self-efficacy and problem-solving skills. Coaching provides the tools to help them prepare for college life, life after graduation, and a professional career. Coaching encourages students to understand strengths and weaknesses, recognize patterns of behavior, reflect critically on decisions, and make deliberate choices that support their best interests.

What can Success Coaching do for me?

Feel free to call or email your success coach with any questions or concerns. They will be happy to hear from you! Attending college is all about challenges and changes. Through coaching, students develop self-sufficiency and academic confidence, while facing issues like homesickness and "not fitting in." Your coach can provide you with information to keep your college career on track.
